Autumn Basics

Hello,

Autumn here in South Africa seems to be very chilled I love the fact that the air is more cooled down and we get surprised by a warm(ohkay not that warm) day in between. Before Autumn leaves us by next week I just wanted to share one of my casual looks and favourite basics I rocked this season before we head to winter where more heavy layering will be needed when dressing.
I'm really a fan of comfort , I simply love my denims and shirts keeping it basic and simple. This is shirt I found at a woolies sale about the end of last year paired it up with my fav edgars jean jegging and booties I snatched from Mr P awhile back can't really remember. I added a bowler hat to make this look more quirky and a simple small sling perfect for a day out.

I think Bowler hats are a must it just makes a outfit cute.

Boots is one item I'll be wearing a lot of.

Tip: Boots and Hats is one way to dress a look and make it look funky so use this as a statement no matter how simple your outfit may look.

What accessories do you use as you 'wow' piece in an outfit??

What I'm wearing:
Shirt : Woolworths
Jean: Edgars Free2BU
Boots: MR P
Hat and Bag: Practical Gifts (Facebook)

Have a lovely Monday :)

Remember to follow my Facebook - The Fabulosity Diary page if you have not done that as yet. Thanks.

Trend : Pastels

Hello Beauties

Mmm its been awhile since I sat down behind the computer and actually wrote a post, I just don't seem to find enough time in a day urghh.

I hope you all well :)

Anyway I want to speak about a trend that seems to be very popular this Autumn/Winter,
PASTELS.

No need for autumn/winter to be dull and boring, although these shades were popular during spring/summer it seems to make a big statement this season , I'm not complaining I think its great, it gives that lightness during the sometimes gloomy weather.

Over the last months I've collected some lovely pastel colour garments and accessories I'm glad I did ,perfect timing I must say.

What do you think of wearing pastels in a/w?? thoughts leave it in a comment below. Show me your outfits tweet me @thefabdiary I would love to see how you styled your pastel garments or even tweet me your pastel finds whether its shoes , earrings even socks haha.

Till next time..

Stay Fabulous

Denim On Denim DO's and DON'TS

Hey lovelies hope you all had a great week so far its almost weekend yay! just 2 days hang in there.

I've seen lately browsing through magazines and going through tweets to see that denim is going nowhere and seems to hit bigger for the autumn winter season coming up. Yes we all know we cannot go without our denims especially our jean right?? But lets face it denim is FOREVER.

In this post I'm going to focus more on the denim on denim aspect , as I actually love the 'look'.
I'm going to be discussing the do's and don'ts of wearing denim on denim from my point of view. So here it goes..

DO's

  • Do break your denims with bright colour accessories (shoes, bag ect).
  • Its always a good idea to break it with the colour tan.
  • I feel that breaking denim with a nude shoe always does the trick and keeping accessories simple.
  • I would also go with a dramatic print shoe(leopard print or so).
  • Pairing a blazer with your denim-on-denim look will add more fun like a bright pink would be for fun or settle for white do keep it sophisticated.

DON'TS
  • NEVER wear the same denim tone together its a huge NO NO.

So looking at my points above, I see my DO's seem to be greater than my DON'TS points, so for those that are too afraid of rocking this look why not give it a try? By following some of the points in the DO's I'm sure you'll be rocking the denim-on-denim look.

Here is some images to get you started:

Denims are fun to play with,so have fun. What are your do's and don'ts of wearing denim?
Hope you enjoyed this post , thanks for reading.

Review : Sh'Zen Rehydrating Bath and Balm

Hello Beauties

You all know that I suffer from a mild eczema and psoriasis, I really get annoyed with these chronic illnesses but what can we do hey besides just trying to control it. Although mine is mild and not that noticeable I still see the ugly marks it leaves behind. My skin is so sensitive I cannot use anything and I'm trying to find the right products by experimenting with a few.

I've been using the Rehydrating Bath and Balm for quit some time now since my granny introduced it to me and I'm Happy with the product.

Here are some points on why I love:

Rehydrating Bath:

  • Moisturizes the skin and you can actually see when applied.
  • The smell is divine.
  • It has deep anti-inflammatory properties.

Rehydrating Balm:
  • Fresh smell.
  • Makes your skin feel soft perfect for dry skin. (Can even apply it throughout the day).
  • Has good ingredients that is great for the skin.

Visit the Sh'zen website for more details on products Click Here.

Suffering from psoriasis and eczema is terrible and I know there are more people out there that conditions is way more worse than mine and I can imagine how they feel. I hope this post will benefit you in some way. Lately I've been paying more attention(as I had a period it was too irritating I had to do something) and trying to control my psoriasis/eczema. So if I do come across any products I will share. I've also been doing lots of 'googling' (sometimes scary stuff you read) on psoriasis and eczema and it also says that eating habits also play a big role in the outbreak of these illnesses(oh gosh I eat anything). Slowly but surely I am trying to change my eating habits and will share them in the future.

You can also visit my other review on the creams I use daily for itchiness and dryness (click here)

Hope you enjoyed this post. Feel free to comment I love hearing from you :) , And if you have been using this product is it working for you?? What other products can you recommend, I would love to try it out.

Review : Narciso Eau de Parfum by Narciso Rodriguez

Hello Again ,hope you all well.. March Already ?? I can't believe it.

My visits to Edgars with mom is never completed without visiting the perfume section , as we looking for a new fragrance the assistant came over and showed us 'Narciso Eau De Parfum' by Narciso Rodriguez. He then handed a sample to try out, but my mom is so compulsive to fragrances she immediately bought a bottle. So I figured why not do a review about it.

The design of the bottle is so cute and chic I love it. The scent to me is strong which makes it very alluring. It is perfect if you looking for a scent that will stay with you for hours.

Narciso Eau de Parfum defines sensuality with elegance. Assertive woody notes meet tender white florals in a daring and so feminine duality. A warm heart of musc remains the emblematic signature of the scent.

You can get the scent online at Red Square Branch or at any Edgars store.

Prices
R720 - 30ml
R1130 - 50ml
R1520 - 90ml

If you have tried the Narciso Eau de Parfum Fragrance what do you think??

Review : Experimenting With Creams

Hello Beauties.

Are you suffering with eczema or psoriasis? Its terrible , that constant itch and dryness can become so annoying, and now that the hot days are still upon us it triggers so much faster.

I've been using different creams at the moment to help me deal with this chronic 'irritation' , 3 to be specific.

Dermatological E45 Cream:

Great for daily moisture and relieves dry skin conditions. It has no scent which is great if you not one for using creams which contains scent. You can find this cream at pharmacies, Dis-chem and Clicks.

African Potato Cream:

My aunt actually bought this for me, to try out, in my opinion its also great for moisture and can be used for any Skin Damage and can be applied once you've finished showered or on a daily basis.

Wonder Cream:

The wonder cream has a menthol type scent and is a cream to help cure many ailments such as eczema, arthritis pains, pimples and marks on your face. This cream can be found at local pharmacies.

I rate all the above products equally because they all have a unique way of helping me with my eczema or psoriasis. (I sometimes apply all 3 and find it working wonders lol).

Is there any suggestions you can recommend I would love to try out some other products.\If you try these products let me know if it works for you.
