Review : The Body Shop Fresh Raspberry Range

 Hi Beauties ,

Just like that we ending off January soon I cannot believe it. For me the month went rather quickly.

It's Sunday and what better way to pamper myself out with some of The Body Shop Products. Today on the blog I will be reviewing some products of the Fresh Raspberry Range.

Review-The-Body-Shop-Raspberry-Range-By-The-Fabulosity-Diary

A while ago I was gifted a self-care box from The Body Shop with a few of their products of different range products to try out, instead of just throwing the reviews out at once I wanted to take each range and take my time to use each product and share my thoughts.

If you follow my blog you must know I'm a huge Body Shop fan and will always be excited to try out their products. I was very excited to get to try the fresh Raspberry Range as it's different to what I usually buy. Let's dive right into it.

Fresh Raspberry Gel Body Scrub (250ml) - R255

What was really intriguing about this scrub is that it looked jam like , the scent is super sweet but once applied to the body it leaves a fresh fragrant of raspberry scent. I really love that it's a gel body scrub and the feeling of the granules on the body giving it a gentle exfoliate.

Fresh Raspberry Hydrating Body Mist (100ml) - R190 -limited edition

A lovely lightweight body mist enriched with hyaluronic acid which smells absolutely amazing once applied.

Fresh Raspberry Shower Gel (250ml) - R115 - limited edition

Made with raspberry fruit extract , the body shop never disappoint with a shower gel. This was defz my summer go to when heading to the shower.

I would suggest this range to someone who loves a sweet rich scent. My fav product from the three is the Body Scrub because I love that it acts as an exfoliant because sometimes I forget that exfoliating the body is just as important as the face , but as a whole I really love the fresh Raspberry range and will defz purchase.

This post was long overdue just didn't have the time to finish it up but still wanted to post it but I hope you enjoyed it and if you spot this at The Body Shop or Clicks and want to try something new the fresh raspberry range it is(It was a limited addition so I'm not sure if you will find it).

Have a lovely week ahead.

Stay Fabulous

Review : ZERO BAR Shampoo Bar

Hello Beauties

I have an exciting product that I would like to introduce to you , something that is great for my travel peeps , those who like to pack light and most importantly those who are conscious on helping the environment and another plus is that is produced in South Africa made with locally sourced ingredients yay!

Let me introduce to you ZERO BAR - a shampoo bar that is water free , plastic free and cruelty free, how awesome is that?!

#GIFTED

My First Impression about the Zero Bar - Wow its cool , something new so I was obviously 100% interested in what the product can do, the only doubt I had was, can this actually work for my hair as its super long and my concern was will it feel fresh and clean , will a bar be able to wash my long locks and will it actually work like a shampoo? mmm...

well what I can say is that after using the Zero Bar I am impressed. Let me tell you a bit about the bars , you get 4 bars  :

Argan :  The argan bar contains a higher percentage of argan oil compared to the rest of the bars. The bar is jammed packed with nutrients which moisturize your hair as a whole and great for those with scalp issues such as dandruff.

Jojoba : The jojoba is enhanced with the moisturizing and has scent of jojoba oil.

Moringa : The Moringa bar is for strengthening of the hair and helps rejuvenate tired and healthy hair and great for split ends and has a good dose of moringa oil.

Desert Melon : The desert melon bar is packed with vitamins and anti-oxidants perfect to condition the hair without leaving it with a greasy residue.

Final thoughts :
I've only used two thus far the Argan and Jojoba (yes its lasts that long how great is that !)

I love it ! My favorite is definitely the Argan bar the scent reminds me of a perfume and it leaves my hair looking fresh , healthy and good and I always get compliments after I washed it.

I'm currently using the Jojoba but it feels like its making my hair a bit too oily , soo I would say this bar is maybe great for those that feel their hair is a bit dry and need some moisture.

I haven't had the chance to try the Moringa and Dersert melon yet but I'm sure the Moringa would work great for my split ends and the desert melon would be great for when my hair is oily.

I would definitely purchase again because I think it would work great when travelling no need to carry those big bottle shampoo and you get more washes out it , up to 55 to 70 washed. Let me tell you I've been using it and my family and its lasts trust me!

the only thing that I think might get to people is that the bar might get soggy so my tips is.. don't leave it in a area where its damp or whet put it directly in a container or back in the box after you use it. I see they recently introduced the ZERO BAR aluminium bar saver for only R60 how great is that , I have to get me one ! oh and another four new BAR Bro's joining the family !

All Shampoo bars going for R75 each

Review : The Body Shop - Elderflower Unperfumed Cooling Eye Gel

Hi Lovelies

It's always good to be back hope you all well 😊today on the blog I have a review on a product that is a bit different - ELDERFLOWER Unperfumed Cooling Eye Gel by The Body Shop.

As soon as I saw this on The Body Shop Instagram page I was immediately interested because I have this thing when I have a lack of sleep my eyes begin to strain and has that pulling one side feeling if you know what I'm trying to say. I also have dark circles soo when I don't get enough sleep it will literally show the next day along with some puffiness under the eye area. I was very keen to give it a try , went to the body shop and purchased it straight away.

After using it for some time now here are my thoughts :
Firstly I love the moisture it adds to my eye area because I don't really use eye cream (which I should) and don't really put much product in the eye area I love that the product is for the under eye and gives it the moisture it needs. It definitely doesn't take away the dark circles but I do find that it gives the eye area a refreshing look especially for the puffiness part. I also like the gel texture because when my eyes were feeling tired and strained it gives that awakening boost with instant cooling and soothing.

Why you should give this product a try:
  • Acts as a moisturizing gel.
  • Soothes and refreshes skin around the eye.
  • Great for tired and puffy eyes.
  • Not sticky.
  • Non fragrant.
The Eye Gel retails for R100 and I would purchase again. I would say that the tub is a bit small and not sure if you would splurge but if you do have extra cash give it a try.

Tip: Place container in the fridge for extra coolness.

Available at The Body Shop Stores. Hope you enjoyed this post and have a wonderful day.

Review : LUX Even Tone Beauty Soap

Hi Beauties

Firstly thanks to RubyBox for sending over some soap for my friends and myself to try out.

My first impression when seeing the soap is the beautiful flower detail it has and was impressed by the whole design of the LUX EVEN TONE soap. I can't remember when last I used a lux bar soo I was super stoked when I got sent some to test and review.

What also caught my attention is that when applying the soap to my face there was no need to use my exfoliating face scrub because the soap acts as one too as it has tiny grains within the soap soo yay a cleanse , exfoliate and not forgetting that it has evening vitamin B3 to leave skin EVEN toned.
I also love the fact that it is lightly fragrant and find that it does not irritate my skin in any way as I do have sensitive skin. I also got the hint of cocoa butter immediately and can feel the smoothness once the soap is used , I honestly love it more because cocoa butter.

Why you should give the LUX Even Tone Beauty Soap a try:
  • Acts as an Exfoliator
  • Leave Skin smooth and fresh after each wash
  • Lightly Fragrant
  • Affordable
You can find these at many outlets such as clicks , dischem , shoprite at only R13.99 for 175g soap.
To find more reviews you can visit Rubybox

If you have tried the soap let me know in the comments below or on social media . Thanks for reading till next time...

Review : African Extracts Rooibos Classic Care Range

Hey Lovlies

Ladies I think I've come across a skin range that I absolutely LOVE! The African Extract Rooibos Classic Care Range.

Although I'm always trying new products out especially skincare I think this particular range will be one of my all time faves that I will always go back to and will be on my shopping list if I'm not testing other skincare products. I have received African Extract products as gift from a family member before and loved the brand and I was very keen to try the facial products. I was super excited when I walked into DisChem and found a gift set range for only R109 score! (Be sure to look out for deals like these especially if you not sure about the product and want to try it out or want to score and save a couple of bucks)

Below is a little breakdown and thoughts on the classic range

Deep Cleansing Wash- R62.99
  • Great for all skin types and ages.
  • Great face wash to take your make up off.
  • I love the fact that it has vitamin B5.

Toner- R62.99
  • Alcohol Free
  • Leaves skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

Moisturizing Day Cream SPF 15 - R69.99
  • Has SPF 15
  • Vitamin E
  • I do think that it might be a bit to oily for some people
I've been using the range for a couple of months now and I can definitely say that I am impressed and after many compliments about how radiant my skin looks this range is definatly a steal!

Why give this product a try:
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Effective cleansing.
  • It's a good daily range to keep skin looking refreshed.
I've also recommended these products to my family members who have different skin problems such as rashes on their face and fine pimples and after using it, they loved the fact of how their skin improved using the products yay!

Review : Sorbet Sleep Rescue Range

Hello Beauties

Today on the blog I have some cool products by Sorbet that I received for my Birthday from my mom. I've been suffering from sleep for some time now and since using these products for about 4 months I can say is that it did help me through my restless nights.

My thoughts On the Sorbet Sleep Rescue Range

All the products below has a mix of aromatherapy oils to calm feelings of daily stress and make the the most of your body's overnight resting time.

Sleepy Bliss Pillow Spray:(R29,95)
This one is my favourite because just a few sprays one whiff leaving me feeling relaxed and ready for my good nights rest.

Drift Away Body Wash: (R43,95)
I love the aromatherapy when applying the body wash to the skin which gives you instant relaxation leaving you feel fresh after a lovely shower and what I love is that the gel is purple in colour.

Easy Does It Hand and Nail Cream: (R37,95)
So this is the one I keep in my bag daily,  whenever I'm feeling a bit anxious I would apply it to relax me in some way.

I really love the range and do think I will purchase it again because all the products above seem to calm me in my opinion and it's affordable. I don't know if it will work for all but it worth a try if you have some tension , feeling stressed or suffer from anxiety. Let me know what you think would love to hear your feedback.

Products can be purchased at clicks stores or clicks online.

Review : Lush - Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Hello Beauties

I've always wanted to purchase something from the LUSH store ,about a month ago I decided to pop in for the fun of it and came across a product that actually came to my favor.

Lately my lips have been looking rather dry and chapped but thanks to the lip scrub I found at LUSH it's looking more smooth and less chapped.

It comes in three scents Bubblegum , Popcorn and Mint Julips and obviously and went for bubblegum because it was pink and the smell was just amazing I could not resist.

What I love about this product:
  • The scent is amazing.
  • Conditions lips.
  • Takes away any dead skin on the lips.
I've added this to my routine by exfoliating my lips atleast once a week. It retails for R105.00 at Lush which may seem too much for a scrub in a small container but really ladies once you have used this product you would want to get you the other scrubs as well.

Overall this being my first product form Lush, I do see myself going back to the LUSH store to get the Popcorn and Mint Julips Scrubs to add to my collection and other products which I'm excited to purchase and hopefully share some reviews with you.

I rate this product 5/5.

Review : Essence Soft Touch Mousse and Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer

Hey Beauties

I have a beauty post up , all about the Essence Soft Touch Mousse and Essence Camouflage Concealer. I'm always on the look out for some affordable cover ups because I'm one that don't usually wear foundations/mousses everyday but like a good cover up now and then.

Essence Soft Touch Mousse - 02 Matt Beige

I love the fact that the coverage of the mousse is good enough to last a couple of hours and for the price I think it's actually worth it . I took the shade 02 matt beige for myself as I'm fair in complexion. I'm already on my second tub soo... yup I'm happy with the product.
I would like to buy the darker shades to experiment with some contouring. (Retails for +/- R64)

Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer

I think this will probably be one of my favourite concealers because before applying the mousse I take a small brush and cover all my marks and under -eye area (cough cough you know them dark circles). I must say I do actually love a liquid concealer but this one does what it suppose to do and happy with the outcome once applied. (Retails for +/- R54.00)

If you a beginner at make-up like me or just looking for products to give you a basic look and looking for affordable cover up make up to experiment with then I say go ahead and purchase these from Essence and let me know what your thoughts are.

These products can be found at Clicks , DisChem and PnP stores

I hope you loved this review short and sweet and thanks for reading.

Review : Yardley Oatmeal Exfoliating Scrub

Hey Beauties

I'm totally a lover of testing exfoliators I might be obsessed hehe... if you have been reading my blog for a while I'm sure you came across my reviews on other exfoliators. The exfoliator I'm currently using is from the Yardley Oatmeal range and I must say I'm impressed.

Why you should give it a try:
  • face seems more refreshed once exfoliator was used.
  • soap free.
  • takes away impurities.
  • scars seem to fade after a few uses.
I must say that the grains of the exfoliator is much more grainy than my other exfoliators but no sign of sensitivity which is great. I also forced my siblings to use the scrub and they've been using it ever since and the results was amazing as their skin had more scaring than mine and I could see a difference too once they used it.

oh..and just to let you know when I used the scrub I did not purchase the toner and moisturizer from the range(as I'm finishing off my other products which I'm using along with the scrub) to use along with it but nevertheless I'm still happy with the results and I'm going to try and purchase the rest of the products.

You can find the scrub at Clicks, Edgars, PNP and selected pharmacies and only retails for R79.95

Hope you enjoyed this post, my current facial/skin products in a post soon, till next time ...

Review : Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hi Lovelies

I know this particular product have been on the market for some time now but I thought that I have to share as I finally got my hands on it after seeing the whole craze on social media. If you love make-up and looking for a good make -up cleanser you have to try the ' Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water'. I took the on the go size just to test it out and I must say I love it after using it a few times already.

As you know I'm not the one to really wear make-up but there are those days when I feel like being all done up or even the simple products I wear like eyeliner or just blush but nevertheless you know how it is after a full day of make up you just want a fresh face again this product does wonders. I took the 'Even For Sensitive Skin' and I love how it does not even leave a sting and is literally like water(without actually going to the tap lol).

Why you should give it a try:
  • Removes make-up gently(take one of those cotton pads and remove make-up).
  • Hydrates the face once applied.
  • No need to rinse
  • Great for those who have sensitive skin.

Product can be found at Clicks , PNP , Dischem. The 400ml retails for R79.95 and the 125ml(on the go size is about R30 odd if I recall correctly)

Have you tried the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water? What are your thoughts?

Review : UBU Blender Baby Foundation Sponge

Hello my beauty babes, I hope your long weekend was good.

I'm sure all of you heard about the famous 'Beauty Blender' used to apply foundations, creams ect, but for those of us that cannot really afford it, I came across the UBU Blender Baby Foundation Sponge at Clicks Stores for only R99 or R130 if I'm not mistaken.

I cannot really compare this to the beauty blender because I have not used the beauty blender before but I do suppose it is similar , I did notice the shape is slightly different though but that should not matter.

Anyway, I find this beauty sponge doing its job well as the point of the sponge reaches perfect to the corners of the eyes and around the nose area. The bottom of the sponge is used for the larger parts of the face.
I also love the fact that you can wash it with some soap and there you goo all cleaned up ready to use again. I will definitely recommend you ladies to purchase it's a real bargain and applying foundation could never be easier.

Have you used the Blender Baby? let me know your thoughts below.

Have a fantastic day further.

Review : Essence Happy Girls Are Pretty Collection

Hello lovely ladies

Walking into Clicks and obviously I walked right over to the Essence rack. I was looking for a blush and I noticed the recent collection in the middle 'Happy Girls Are Pretty Collection' and first thing I noticed was the blush(R57.95) it looked different as it had a heart in the middle with a darker shade and a pattern surrounding the heart with a lighter shade.

I also took the sheer lipbalm(R44.95) , nice natural colour just how I like it. I must say I really love love this particular lipbalm as it gives a great effect that is close to a lipstick and leaving a smooth feeling on the lips. I love how natural and neutral it is and I must say affordable too especially for those of you on a budget.

In the swatches above you can see that the blush does not do that much , I don't think it takes onto the skin very easily but it does show some sort of colour when applied, so in my opinion I think it's okay but I'm looking for one that will actually make my cheeks pop. The lipbalm however I love and think I will purchase again as its perfect and I love the colour.

I did not purchase the whole collection but if you have let me know what you think is good and I will go and try it out.

Thanks for reading.

Review : 212 VIP Rose Eau de Parfum Spray

Hello Beauties

Because its the month of LOVE I decided to review a perfume for a change , soo ladies if you have not heard of the '212 VIP ROSE' fragrance you better hint hint to your partner because its the perfect Valentine's Gift haha.

Ohkay jokes aside here are my thoughts of what I think of the fragrance:

Strong smell perfect for those who love a strong scent , I will probably only use this for a special occasion as I feel the sent is too much for daily use. I'm currently using the 212 VIP Are you on the list? which I think is a more light fragrance to wear day to day. Don't get me wrong the 212 VIP Rose is one stunning fragrance and should definatley be part of you perfume collection.

you will be able to find the fragrance on Red Square Site (click here) or at any Edgars or Red Square stores

Any good perfumes on the market? let me know :)

Review : Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment

Hello Beauties,

Okay so this product may have been on the market for ages I don't know, but I thought I'd share a little review because it really worked for me when suffering from some sort of unexpected dry cracked lips which I never have. I don't know the actual reason for having these dry cracked lips maybe it was that I was washing my face with very hot water(oops) and it caused them to dry out or it could be that I suffered from a mild cold or maybe it was just because of the medication I was on.

Anyway... I then used my normal lip balms such as Baby Lips which I adore but it did not seem to work and cure my problem completely(But its my fav for everyday use). I went to the pharmacy and purchased BLISTEX Daily Conditioning Treatment for about R75 after my cousin said I should give it a try as she used the product before.

I can definitely say that this particular lip balm has worked after using it for about two weeks and cured my dry cracked lips completely and would recommend this product if you suffer from extremely dry lips.It should last for some time as I only use it if my lips are super dry but otherwise I use my daily lip balms.

Why buy this product?
  • Extra conditioning.
  • SPF 20.
  • Heals lips quick.
I rate this product 5/5 and a plus is that it has a SPF of 20.
Let me know what you think if you have used it before. You can find this at a pharmacy , Dischem,Clicks or PNP stores.

Review : Essence Mattifying Cream

Hello Beauties

After using the Essence My Skin Mattifying cream for a while now, about two months I thought it would be cool to write a little review on it because I find that I use this product daily. When walking into clicks stores I always find myself walking to the Essence section to see what's new and always looking for some budget friendly products. When browsing I spotted the essence mattifying cream and bought it because I did not have a daily moisturiser at the time.

I find that the mattifying cream is a great moisturiser for everyday use even when I'm not wearing any make-up the day. It is also perfect to use as make-up base as stated on the packaging. Most people will most likely use primers(which will most likely be more effective than the mattifying cream) before applying make-up but if you looking something really affordable you should try it. I also see that it does reduce shine in certain areas on face which is great!
I will probably buy this product again because its inexpensive.

Why try this product:
  • Budget friendly make-up base
  • Great for a daily moisturiser

Have a lovely week ahead.

Review : ALOE Range from The Body Shop

Hello All

I'm so excited to discuss these few products I purchased at The Body Shop event I attended (The Body Shop New Look Boutique Store Event). I found the perfect range for my skin finally! I think its called the ALOE range I forgot what the lady that assisted me said, but all I remember is that when I asked for something for sensitive skin she directly pointed these products out to me.

ALOE GENTLE EXFOLIATOR:
Skin-kind polish proven to reveal smooth skin without irritating.
The exfoliator seems to have rougher texture to the Garnier Even and Matte Radience Scrub which I find also works well because its not that harsh on the skin. I recommend this exfoliator to those who love no scent in their facial products. (Price R130)

ALOE SOOTHING MOISTURE LOTION SPF15:
I love the fact that the moisturiser has a Daily Protection from UVA/UVB and helps to sooth the any signs of sensitive skin. The only problem I have is that when after applying I might tend to rub my eye and it then causes a burning sensation to my eye but otherwise I find the soothing lotion to be perfect. (Price R170)

ALOE LIP CARE:
Great for those suffering from super dry lips it helps condition and soothes.(Price R75)

Have a wonderful Thursday.

Review : Avon Nutraeffects

Hello and Happy Friday

On the blog today I discuss my new facial cleanser and toner that I purchased by Avon. I've been on the search for a everyday face wash for a long long time because I really want to get back into a skin routine again #thestruggle.

My cousin started selling Avon I went through the book and saw one for sensitive skin which was perfect for me and even better it does not cost a arm and a leg. Before I used the product I was not happy with my skin because it felt super dry especially my cheeks and T-zone area.

I love the fact that the cleanser is self-foaming along with the natural clean scent it has because when I apply certain facial products I get some sort of funny rash or sting afterwards but with this face wash I had none. After washing my face with the cleanser I immediately apply the toner which also have the same clean fresh scent with no sting after applying, leaving my face fresh and clean. My next purchase would be the day and night cream.

This product can be used on Normal/Combination/ Sensitive Skin.

Why try this product :
  • Not expensive
  • Great for sensitive skin

I rate this product 4/5
Theses products can be bought via avon reps.
You can view the nutraeffects range (click here)

I would love to know what face wash you currently using leave me a comment below or let me know on Social Media especially if you have sensitive skin . I would love to try them out.

Thanks for reading. Have a lovely Weekend.

Review : Essence Beauty Products

Hi Beauties

On the blog today I talk some lipgloss, lipstick and eyeliner. About a few weeks ago TakeaLot had a hibernation sale and immediately I headed to the beauty section to see which Essence products were available(great bargains). I've been going essence crazy lately(expect more essence reviews), I think the products are amazing and super affordable and I love exposing such brands to my readers because it does not burn a hole in your wallet.

Everybody has been raving about Nude lipsticks, eye pallets ect ect so I thought lets try some nude products out, oh and to those who love the cat eye look there is such a fab eye-liner from ESSENCE that you must get.

My thoughts below...

Essence XXXL Long Lasting Lipgloss (06 Soft Nude):
I love the fact that its nude but in my opinion it did not quite fit my complexion and feel that it would go better with someone who has a lighter complexion to me.I also didn't like the MATT effect that it gave but maybe another shade would do.

Essence long lasting Lipstick (06 Dark Nude):
I'm not really a lipstick person but this one sold me over compared to the lipgloss because it made my lips look natural just the way I like it.

Essence 2-1 eyeliner pen:
In the pics below you will see the thick part of the pen looks almost like a highlighter tip 'flat based' which is more easier to apply which is great and the thin part of the pen is more 'koki like' also easy to apply.

Thanks for reading, let me know if you love nude make-up products and also let me know which other cool essence products are great, Although I'm not an expert in make-up I enjoy learning about it and experimenting trying to find myself to adapt to beauty products its fun.

Review : Sh'Zen Rehydrating Bath and Balm

Hello Beauties

You all know that I suffer from a mild eczema and psoriasis, I really get annoyed with these chronic illnesses but what can we do hey besides just trying to control it. Although mine is mild and not that noticeable I still see the ugly marks it leaves behind. My skin is so sensitive I cannot use anything and I'm trying to find the right products by experimenting with a few.

I've been using the Rehydrating Bath and Balm for quit some time now since my granny introduced it to me and I'm Happy with the product.

Here are some points on why I love:

Rehydrating Bath:

  • Moisturizes the skin and you can actually see when applied.
  • The smell is divine.
  • It has deep anti-inflammatory properties.

Rehydrating Balm:
  • Fresh smell.
  • Makes your skin feel soft perfect for dry skin. (Can even apply it throughout the day).
  • Has good ingredients that is great for the skin.

Visit the Sh'zen website for more details on products Click Here.

Suffering from psoriasis and eczema is terrible and I know there are more people out there that conditions is way more worse than mine and I can imagine how they feel. I hope this post will benefit you in some way. Lately I've been paying more attention(as I had a period it was too irritating I had to do something) and trying to control my psoriasis/eczema. So if I do come across any products I will share. I've also been doing lots of 'googling' (sometimes scary stuff you read) on psoriasis and eczema and it also says that eating habits also play a big role in the outbreak of these illnesses(oh gosh I eat anything). Slowly but surely I am trying to change my eating habits and will share them in the future.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Feel free to comment I love hearing from you :) , And if you have been using this product is it working for you?? What other products can you recommend, I would love to try it out.
