Review : Clicks Skincare Collection - Rooibos + Anti-Oxidants SPF 15 Day Cream and 3-in-1 Facial Cleanser

 Hi Beauties

Today I have review on facial products from Clicks . I've been using it for a few months now and I'm very happy and thought I would share.

I was on the hunt for a SPF but unfortunately my budget did not allow me to get the one I want so I came across the clicks skincare collection and I was very curious and like normal its always the packaging that gets me. I then purchased the SPF Day Cream and a facial cleanser because I ran out of facial cleanser.

Clicks Skincare Collection - Rooibos + Anti Oxidants SPF Day Cream R69.99 (50ml)

  • Protects skin from UVA and UVB rays.
  • For normal and combination skin.
  • Contains Goodness of rooibos
because there is SPF in the day cream I feel that it gives a very matt finish once applied to the skin. I love the fact that your face doesn't feel super sticky like some sunscreen once applied I suppose it because its a cream containing SPF. There was once or twice that my skin did act up on the cheek area like little bumps but not major reaction , no burning sensation or so. I love the light scent it gives off.

Clicks Skincare Collection Rooibos + Anti-Oxidants 3-in-1 Facial Cleanser R64.99 (150ml)
  • Gel Cleanser.
  • 3-in-1 Cleanser.
  • Contains Goodness of Rooibos.
  • Removes Dead Skin Cells.
I really loved how soft this cleanser was while feeling the soft grains gently exfoliating your skin, the scent is also amazing after using it for some time I'm happy with the product.

All in all I think the Clicks Skincare Collection is super affordable and I would like to test and try the other collections and product. It is super budget friendly especially the 3 for 2 promos.
I would purchase the rooibos brand again especially if I'm on a budget.

REVIEW : Fujifilm INSTAX SQUARE SQ1

Hi Lovelies ,

I have a very exciting review post to share with you guys , I will be reviewing something very different to beauty products but its something that I've used very much these past few years to capture special moments in my life and also think it is rather fitting with my content  - its the FUIFILM INSTAX SQUARE SQ1

Instax was very kind to send over their Instax camera to test and review and I could not resist and had to take the opportunity. What made me more excited is that the prints are square format (photo picture size 62 x 62 mm). I do own 2 Instax cameras but the print is more smaller and the cameras are different to the SQ1 so I was very keen to see what the Instax SQ1 was all about.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS :

WOW , the colour was absolutely lovely, the colour I received was Terracotta Orange super beautiful and different to the mundane colours you normally see. I also loved the shape I think its very modern looking to fit this day and age.

I received the camera at the perfect moment as my family and I were heading on a mini staycation.

TRYING OUT THE SQ1 :

I loved the easy grip when holding , so for the selfie lovers this one is great for you(it has a selfie mirror, making it easier for you to see before capturing your image) , you can capture all the selfie moments without an hassle. I also feel that it captures great in light and dark settings I took a picture of sunrise and sunset and you could see the different hues of colour in the images nicely, no need to worry about changing any settings.

FINAL THOUGHTS :

I honestly loved the experience with the camera , I loved the fact that you can fit more people/surroundings in the square format . It also really captures your surroundings more clearer and offer those that do not like complication tech it has a simple operation which is very straight forward to use "ON" and "Selfie" mode .  If I should be by the means this would be one I would like to purchase. The only thing that I would have loved for the SQ1 is that it would have been awesome if it had self timer like my Instax Mini 70 , but other than that the SQ1 is super simple and effortless , straight forward to use and the image/film quality is great !

KEY FEATURES

  • Selfie Mode
  • Auto Exposure
  • Simple Operation

Retail Price in South Africa +/- R1999

Colours Available in the SQ1

If you have read this post and I convinced you to buy your own Instax SQ1 please tag me on instagram @nabeelahisaacs as well as @instaxsa and #InfluencedByTheFabDiary #FindsByTFD , or thanks for the recommendation I would really appreciate it.

March '21 - Catch Up

 Hi Fellow Beauties,

Firstly HOW ARE YOU ?? I haven't been here in ages and I really cannot believe how quickly the year is going by , it's already March and almost over how even?!

I'm sure most of you are exhausted from 2020- coronavirus is really taking a toll on everyone and businesses. I know I am exhausted and to be honest I'm just taking the days as it come in 2021 - not over thinking , no structured plans , goals because mental health is important at this stage.

The year already did not start off well for myself as I lost my Grandpa whom I was very very close to. It was unexpected and never did myself or any of my family see it coming , it literally happened in a blink of an eye a week to be exact! Aaah I miss him so much!

And because its already March ... it does not make it any easier to think of what you going to do because the days are moving so fast you cannot even gather your thoughts especially during this new normal which is kind of draining . As much as I want to be goal driven or plan things , I just don't want to set an goal/ expectation and what makes me more happy is take it day by day.

To those who have been reading my blog and those that do return I just want to say thank you for reading and supporting my blog (although I'm not a consistent as I want to be , I do love coming back here and sharing what I want to share and I feel proud of my little space). To those that are NEW here HELLO and I hope you love my content and hope this is a space you love where you will find mostly Fashion , Beauty and Lifestyle posts but also some adventure and some random posts here and there.

If you often read my blog comment what you love about it.

Anyway just thought I would give you a little catch up session what I'm currently feeling and ya I hope whoever comes across this post I hope you having a fabulous 2021 so far, If you not that is also ohkay just find something cool to distract yourself and you will be fine trust me.

To those who have lost a loved one , I hope you find comfort in your hearts. Remember to stay safe wear your masks and sanitize !

but lastly I hope you all ohkay 😊 please comment below how you feeling at the moment.

Review : Eucerin UreaRepair Plus 5% Urea Body Cream

 Hi Beauties ,

#TradeExchange

I was sent over a a Body Cream from Rubybox and Eucerin to Test and Review and I was super excited to be part of the test and review group.

Eucerin UreaRepair 5% Urea Body Cream - Review

I've been using the Eucerin UreaRepair Plus 5% Urea Body Cream for a couple of months now and I must say I am very happy with it, before I give my final thoughts here is a little more info on the Eucerin Body Cream :

  • Fragrance Free
  • For those who suffer from dry , rough skin or those that suffer with psoriasis
  • Gives immediate relief
for my OG readers you know that I suffer from psoriasis / eczema from time to time and I have been sharing some products that work for me so I was very excited.

I've never used Eucerin products fully before beside using my moms Sunblock mildly and I loved it because I only heard/read great things from the brand.

When applying the body cream after first application I can definitely say it is smooth and super hydrating.

The area I put it to test was behind my ears and legs as I have flaky skin because currently that is the area suffering the most at the moment. After a few applications I can say that it does make a difference and the flakiness have not been that much since using the Eucerin Repair Cream. So all in all its a very moisturizing cream and the are will stay hydrated for a period of time and great if you have DRY SKIN.
I would definitely use this product again for certain parts of my body it helps a lot where it is dry.

I would suggest that you should not use it on any broken skin as it will burn and not on your face if you have super sensitive skin , because sometimes it does leave a burning sensation once applied.

Let me know if you have used the Eucerin UreaRepair Plus 5% Urea Body Cream and how you found it?

Retails for R249.99

Have a lovely weekend.

Review : Sorbet Balancing Body Butter and Body Wash

Hi Beauties ,

Hope you all doing good , thank god its weekend.

Today I will be reviewing the SORBET Balancing Body Butter and Body Wash. I'm a big fan of sorbet and I love their ranges. This was the first time trying a body butter and body wash and I'm impressed. I also love that its budget friendly. I bought it some time ago soo here are some of my thoughts below after using it ...

What I loved about the balancing range:
  • Body Butter - I love how nourishing it is when applied to the skin , I love how it moisturize into the skin after a shower or bath, oh and let's not forget the amazing scent.
  • Body Wash -  The scent when washing your body gives your mood an instant lift and I love that it did not irritate my skin as I have sensitive skin.
The Sorbet Balancing range has blends of rosemary ,  sunflower oil and pearl extract with a dose of vitamin E. Its true what it states on the packaging the range is definitely uplifting.

Some Exciting News and Styling The Lorine Sunglasses by AMINA Glasses

 Hi Beauties

Firstly I hope everyone is doing great and coping with the pandemic its been rough and ohkay but we dealing hey.. what can we do. All I'm glad for is that I have a post for you because I miss gathering up a post 😊.

I have some exciting news.. well to me its kind of a proud moment , not that big news but I'm proud to say that I'm an Ambassador for AMINA Sunglasses - Curated Eyewear for Warrior Women.

I was super stoked when I was chosen to be part of their selection and think that their brand stands for something more powerful than just eyewear. Their message behind their brand is to celebrate or remind Women that we are STRONG , INDEPENDENT and that we are MIGHTY,we walk tall and take pleasure in the beauty of the world.

Well lets get to the point of this post - They asked me to pick one of their eyewear pieces and I had to style them , super exciting as I love sunglasses. I chose the Lorine Pair because I think having a good black pair of sunglasses is always a must in your collection.

I've taken these pictures a while back and just did not have the motivation or time to post. While Cape Town is still experiencing weather of all seasons I thought it would still be appropriate to post this look which a winter look styling my Lorine's.

About this look :

I decided to style my lorine sunglasses with a look that is comfortable with some edge and a pop of soft colour. Because Teddy coats was huge winter I had an excuse to put on mine which I actually got as a gift last year. I decided because the Teddy Coat was Baby pink I used it to elevate the rest of the look by wearing my black pleather pants, black converse , black lorine's and a beige jersey to soften the look. I also tied my hair in a pony with soft curls to bring the look together.

If you loved how I styled my outfit please leave a comment down below I would appreciate it and mostly I hope you loved the post.

Also if you do purchase a pair of sunglasses from Amina please tag me and them I would love to see.

COVID-19 Lockdown

Hi Everyone

Soo we on day 9/21 of lockdown here in South Africa. It seems like 2020 already seems to be at a standstill and I don't think that anybody expected this Coronavirus to take over life and nevertheless the whole world! It's crazy to think that everybody is experiencing this together and not just a part of the world.

Here in South Africa we are super lucky that its not as bad as in other countries such as Italy or Spain where death is about 900 daily or in the US where the number of cases are growing rapidly daily. If you reading this from another country where it is extreme I hope you safe and taking all the necessary precautions, practicing good social distance or basically for your own good STAYING at HOME.

I know this might be a very very hard time for some as you  had things planned, exciting things happening for your business, at work and especially those that is always on the goo to make things happen BUT you  know what it's maybe the chance to slow down a bit.. Do something you always pushed aside like :

  • reading your books
  • spending time with your kids/spouse/family
  • practice that dish you always wanted to try
  • or maybe just to relax and reflect
To recover from this pandemic is going to be a challenge for everyone and think that this is going to be the NEW NORMAL for a very long time, hopefully not god willing but just sending some love to the small businesses going through this difficult time and to those suffering some financial strain or any situation that is tough that I have not mention but WE CAN DO THIS ! and we WILL get through this together as long as we listening and doing our part this will soon blow over.

Please comment(I would appreciate it) below where in the world you are and is your country currently on lockdown? What are you doing with your extra free time and what is the first thing you dreaming of doing when this is all over , I would love to know.

Meanwhile please stay safe everyone during this crazy time.

Review : ZERO BAR Shampoo Bar

Hello Beauties

I have an exciting product that I would like to introduce to you , something that is great for my travel peeps , those who like to pack light and most importantly those who are conscious on helping the environment and another plus is that is produced in South Africa made with locally sourced ingredients yay!

Let me introduce to you ZERO BAR - a shampoo bar that is water free , plastic free and cruelty free, how awesome is that?!

#GIFTED

My First Impression about the Zero Bar - Wow its cool , something new so I was obviously 100% interested in what the product can do, the only doubt I had was, can this actually work for my hair as its super long and my concern was will it feel fresh and clean , will a bar be able to wash my long locks and will it actually work like a shampoo? mmm...

well what I can say is that after using the Zero Bar I am impressed. Let me tell you a bit about the bars , you get 4 bars  :

Argan :  The argan bar contains a higher percentage of argan oil compared to the rest of the bars. The bar is jammed packed with nutrients which moisturize your hair as a whole and great for those with scalp issues such as dandruff.

Jojoba : The jojoba is enhanced with the moisturizing and has scent of jojoba oil.

Moringa : The Moringa bar is for strengthening of the hair and helps rejuvenate tired and healthy hair and great for split ends and has a good dose of moringa oil.

Desert Melon : The desert melon bar is packed with vitamins and anti-oxidants perfect to condition the hair without leaving it with a greasy residue.

Final thoughts :
I've only used two thus far the Argan and Jojoba (yes its lasts that long how great is that !)

I love it ! My favorite is definitely the Argan bar the scent reminds me of a perfume and it leaves my hair looking fresh , healthy and good and I always get compliments after I washed it.

I'm currently using the Jojoba but it feels like its making my hair a bit too oily , soo I would say this bar is maybe great for those that feel their hair is a bit dry and need some moisture.

I haven't had the chance to try the Moringa and Dersert melon yet but I'm sure the Moringa would work great for my split ends and the desert melon would be great for when my hair is oily.

I would definitely purchase again because I think it would work great when travelling no need to carry those big bottle shampoo and you get more washes out it , up to 55 to 70 washed. Let me tell you I've been using it and my family and its lasts trust me!

the only thing that I think might get to people is that the bar might get soggy so my tips is.. don't leave it in a area where its damp or whet put it directly in a container or back in the box after you use it. I see they recently introduced the ZERO BAR aluminium bar saver for only R60 how great is that , I have to get me one ! oh and another four new BAR Bro's joining the family !

All Shampoo bars going for R75 each

Review : Sorbet Body Spritzers

Hi Beauties

I discovered something cool from Sorbet Ranges- the Body Spritzers. I don't know if it's new to Sorbet ranges but it immediately caught my attention and because the packaging looked super interesting and I never tried a body spritzer before.

Anyway... I picked up In Full Bloom and Ocean Mist spritzers and I must say I am totally impressed and think its perfect to use when coming out of the shower or bath giving you that extra freshness. I also think that this is an item that should be added to your beach bag because after that swim in the ocean or sitting whole day at the beach it can be applied or if you decide to grab a coffee with friends or get a spontaneous ice cream , just spritz a few and you good to goo ..

In Full Bloom (100ml) - is the perfect scent for spring and for all those ladies who wants to make a bold statement and is also great to welcome the new seasons with its vibrant floral scents. I love how rich and bold it smell once sprayed on the body.

Ocean Mist (100ml) - is the perfect scent for all those beach babes or for those who love the ocean. This scent screams hellloooo summer giving you an instant airy scent and everything sea-scented once applied to the body.

Why you should give the Sorbet Spritzers a try:
  • Super affordable
  • Can be used from AM - PM
  • Leaves you feeling fresh
  • Available in great scents

Review : Kudu Cosmetica

Hi Beauties

Today I have another brand I can add to my LOCAL SERIES - a skincare brand called Kudu Cosmetica that I discovered and they were kind enough to send over two of their products from their range for me to try out. I received it last year soo I have been using it for some time now and its purely amazing and yay they 100% cruelty free and whenever possible they support locally and support small local businesses in Africa.

#GIFTED

Here is some info on the following products they sent me and my thoughts below:

MASQUE - water activated facial mask that will purify , repair and relenish your skin.Deep Cleansing mineral rich clays work together with potent bio- active botanical extracts and natural anti-inflammatory agents.

You guys know how I love testing masks and I was even more excited because it was powder based and I haven't tried a mask like this before. I also could not believe how quick it dries and how clean and fresh ones face feels after like it stripped all impurities away.

SQUALANE SERUM/OIL- helps skin retain natural moisture, improving texture and tone.

When applying this to my skin I instantly felt the softness. Normally I feel very hesitant about facial oils because I'm afraid it will make my skin oily or because I tried an oil (can't remember the brand) and it left my face feeling super oily and never tried it again , but the squalane oil gave me a different outlook in using facial oils and this one being the first part of my facial routine I think it definitely makes a difference to the skin especially in winter.I also love the fact of how light it feels on the skin and has no greasy feel once applied.

Final thoughts - I experienced no sensitivity and skin felt amazing. The products that were sent to me are pricey for those with a budget but I think is / will be worth every penny and yay for no harmful ingredients. I will most definitely be purchasing in the future. Thank you Kudu for GIFTING me with your products.

p.s ... I shared with mom and sister who has a different skin type and they absolutely love the products.
also super excited to try their cold-pressed oils which are at a very very affordable prices which also has great benefits for the skin soo you have no excuse to give this great brand a go

Hope you enjoyed this review , if you do purchase please let me know your thoughts after using any of their products . I know I'm very keen to try some of their other products out.

Review : The Body Shop - Elderflower Unperfumed Cooling Eye Gel

Hi Lovelies

It's always good to be back hope you all well 😊today on the blog I have a review on a product that is a bit different - ELDERFLOWER Unperfumed Cooling Eye Gel by The Body Shop.

As soon as I saw this on The Body Shop Instagram page I was immediately interested because I have this thing when I have a lack of sleep my eyes begin to strain and has that pulling one side feeling if you know what I'm trying to say. I also have dark circles soo when I don't get enough sleep it will literally show the next day along with some puffiness under the eye area. I was very keen to give it a try , went to the body shop and purchased it straight away.

After using it for some time now here are my thoughts :
Firstly I love the moisture it adds to my eye area because I don't really use eye cream (which I should) and don't really put much product in the eye area I love that the product is for the under eye and gives it the moisture it needs. It definitely doesn't take away the dark circles but I do find that it gives the eye area a refreshing look especially for the puffiness part. I also like the gel texture because when my eyes were feeling tired and strained it gives that awakening boost with instant cooling and soothing.

Why you should give this product a try:
  • Acts as a moisturizing gel.
  • Soothes and refreshes skin around the eye.
  • Great for tired and puffy eyes.
  • Not sticky.
  • Non fragrant.
The Eye Gel retails for R100 and I would purchase again. I would say that the tub is a bit small and not sure if you would splurge but if you do have extra cash give it a try.

Tip: Place container in the fridge for extra coolness.

Available at The Body Shop Stores. Hope you enjoyed this post and have a wonderful day.

Review : LUX Even Tone Beauty Soap

Hi Beauties

Firstly thanks to RubyBox for sending over some soap for my friends and myself to try out.

My first impression when seeing the soap is the beautiful flower detail it has and was impressed by the whole design of the LUX EVEN TONE soap. I can't remember when last I used a lux bar soo I was super stoked when I got sent some to test and review.

What also caught my attention is that when applying the soap to my face there was no need to use my exfoliating face scrub because the soap acts as one too as it has tiny grains within the soap soo yay a cleanse , exfoliate and not forgetting that it has evening vitamin B3 to leave skin EVEN toned.
I also love the fact that it is lightly fragrant and find that it does not irritate my skin in any way as I do have sensitive skin. I also got the hint of cocoa butter immediately and can feel the smoothness once the soap is used , I honestly love it more because cocoa butter.

Why you should give the LUX Even Tone Beauty Soap a try:
  • Acts as an Exfoliator
  • Leave Skin smooth and fresh after each wash
  • Lightly Fragrant
  • Affordable
You can find these at many outlets such as clicks , dischem , shoprite at only R13.99 for 175g soap.
To find more reviews you can visit Rubybox

If you have tried the soap let me know in the comments below or on social media . Thanks for reading till next time...

Review : LuluBee Skin-Health Products

Hi Beauties

I've decided to reach out to some brands to start an awesome series on my blog where I introduce awesome LOCAL Brands or brands that need to be discovered because they awesome.

I came across Lulubee and saw they had skincare products, you know how I love trying out new skincare products and what immediately caught my attention was that they had a product for psoriasis, I will chat about this in a bit. I then reached out to Lulubee and they were kind enough to send me most of their products to test and review and I must say I love it otherwise I would not be blogging about it and bonus they not expensive at all yay!

Some info on the LuluBee Range
All their skin product formulations are 100% natural active ingredients made all from
Botanical plant-oils from freshly foraged plants , raw beeswax and Essential oils and this is what I love that it is all natural . Read more about the brand here .

Here are my thoughts below:

DEVINE HEALER SALVE - R190

This product is legit the bom.com and the one that initially caught my attention because I saw it helps with eczema, I have psoriasis after applying the balm it leaves the dry patches nourished and eventually keeps the flakiness away. I give this particular product 10/10 as I loved it since the first use. It's basically a first aid in a jar (does that even make sense lol). It helps with everything it says on the site , it definitely helps with insect bites and takes the itch away instantly . I even got my family members to try it and they love it. It helps with soo many things such as cuts , colds and flu oh ladies its great for your heels of your feet , yup you know what that sandals does to them heels.

IMMORTELLE FACE BLAM - R170

When I first applied this product I was like this is not going to work for me I found it to be very oily but then changed my mind because about 5min later I found the product to be soaked into the skin and also found it to be good for some dry areas on my face. I don't think I will suggest this product to those who have oily skin. I do think this product is a great transitional product from autumn to  winter or if you have very dry skin.

BEE-LICIOUS BODY BALM - R190

I love how conditioning this product is great for areas such as your elbows or knees. I love the fact that it has chamomile and soothing properties and is perfect to use when you come out of a lovely shower. The Body balm definitely goes by its name because the scent is just amazing.

LIP NECTARS - R60

There are two scents available in these lip balms lime and jasmin and mandarin and ylang ylang which are absolutely divine. Both these lip balms are super hydrating to the lips which is perfect for the winter season and especially to those who have dry dry lips, it has a oil which is high in vitamin C to repair damaged skin.

REUSEABLE BEESWAX FOOD WRAPS

The Lulubee brand also stands by the ZERO WASTE POLICY which I totally agree on as I too came to the party to try to save our planet by Reduce , Reuse , Recycle and taking small steps to follow on the eco way. The Food wraps can be used to wrap your leftovers or your lunch and is washable which is perfect. Soo if you want to start natural food storage you should give it a goo its really cool.

To shop these LuluBee products - Shop LuluBee

After testing the products for a few months I must say I am very happy with what the brand has to offer. I especially love the DEVINE HEALER SALVE its my favorite from the products as it works for many things. In all I am happy with all the products and what it does to the skin.

Thank you LuluBee for GIFTING me these products, I will sure be purchasing soon. Support Local and support small businesses it means the world trust me :)

If you loving the LOCAL SERIES please let me know.

Trend : Culottes

Hi Lovely Beauties

Lately I've been living in my culotte pants and my collection is kinda growing, they just too comfortable and I think I'm obsessed all over again.... let me give you a little back story going back to my childhood I remember owning a denim pair that I wore all the time I mean ALL the time with my ridiculous pink sneakers and colourful type jerseys haha... but as I got older I grew out of wide style  - palazzo , pajama pants as some call it and thought its not such a cool vibe and switched over to the SKINNY LEG , come on I know you did too.

Anyway flash forward to 2018 the CULOTTE has become one of the most popular trends in my opinion seeing it at many fashion outlets and I must say I think it's here to stay throughout 2019 into our autumn/winter season back to spring/summer this year.

Here is a look I wore to a wedding on how I styled my pleated culottes let me know what you think?

I'm excited to style my culotte pants for the upcoming autumn/winter season . If you would like a post on how to style culottes or just a general lookpost to see how else I styled it , let me know.

Are you a fan of the culotte trend? let me know in the comments below :)

Hello 2019 - My Wish For You

Happy New Year my fellow followers 😊 .
I think by now everything is back into full swing of  'normal' and everybody is starting to settle into the new year and ready to tackle 2019. I cannot believe January is almost behind us shew!

In this post I thought it would be cute just to mention a few motivation pointers to start off the year instead of mentioning my resolutions , to be honest I'm one of those that never stick to my resolutions and decided that what I will be mentioning below will hopefully make you feel better because it helps me get through everyday and find myself more at peace in a way if you know what I mean.

My Wish For You Is To ...

  • Take on a hobby - Trust me when I say this , weather its baking , painting or whatever find time to do something you love, it's the most relaxing thing ,just to take a break of everyday life and do something you actually enjoy.
  • Declutter - Nothing makes my mind more crowded than a messy space it leaves me feeling all tangled up in my head space and irritated , therefore I love doing spring cleaning once a month but basically every time I see a space getting too much clutter and by tidying it up it immediately makes me feel better. Try it and let me know?
  • Help Someone - This always gives me an instant mood booster . Nothing can take away the joy you feel when you give someone something and to see that smile is priceless. Even if you should give a child a sweet , buy a loaf of bread each month and just give it to someone or donate some of your old clothing to charity trust me you will feel super great.
  • Find Me Time - Sometimes I forget this and feel that it is very important for yourself . You may not notice but you can forget about yourself with the hustle and bustle of life I'm I right ? give yourself a break and do something that makes you feel relaxed , watching youtube , series , reading a book and no need to feel guilty because you deserve some me time
  • Appreciate the small things/ Gratitude - We tend to let our problems get to us to an extent that we over worry that make us go crazy and gives us thoughts and make us think that we can't carry on the next day, do you agree? The thing that I planted in my head when I'm not having a good day is just to accept and appreciate the roof over my head , I have clean water to drink , I woke up healthy and I mean how lucky are we compared to someone else?
  • Be Happy - Life is short , try to find inner piece I know that this can be difficult but working on this everyday is a progress indeed and that's okay... to take small steps and make small changes you'll get there, I know we will . Our mental health is important and we need to take care of our mental state a happy mind is a happy life.
My last wish for you is that I hope you all have a prosperous and good year ahead. We don't know how our days might turn out but I know by my list above it makes me feel good and hope it will help you too when you feel you cannot conquer.

#OOTD - How I Styled my Paper Bag Pants

Hello Beauties !

Omg its been months , yes I am alive and I miss this little space of mine. I don't know why but I just could not get myself to sit by the computer and write something , one moment I'm feeling inspired one minute totally uninspired. Does this happen to you too?

Anyway ... I've come back with a OOTD for ya'll yay I know you like them. In today's post I will be showing you how I styled my paper-bag pants.

Firstly I love how comfortable these pants are, comfy and versatile which I think you can dress up and down. In the look below I dressed for a wedding so I styled it with a pair of block heels (yup comfort yo girl ain't got time for that stilettos) along with a cute light weight top from poetry which i tucked in my pants along with the straw woven bag which I found on the flea market for R40 can you believe it? I then put my hair in a top knot with some cool handmade beaded earrings.

No clue what to style your paper-bag pants with? Here are some tips
  • Give some edge with a leather jacket.
  • A white shirt , this will make you look chic as ever.
  • Plain white tee and heels (plain but simple outgoing look agree?)
  • Add funky accessories to your look.

Please show me how you styled you paper-bag pants . If you loved my look let me know via social media or comment below would love to hear your thoughts.

How To Style Your Red Boots

Hi Beauties

Styling red boots can be tricky for some and I don't think one will purchase it that easily, but when I saw this particular pair which was also available in very basic colours I don''t know what persuaded me to take the red. I was just drawn to it and thought to myself I can make it work.

Posting about Red Boots have been on my mind far too long , funny thing is.. it's super trendy this year and have spotted in several stores. I've had this pair 3 years and never wore it because I was a bit too skeptical to wear them and thought it would be the perfect time to turn this into a post and showcase how I wore my Red Booties.

In my look below I played it very safe in my opinion keeping it simple with a stripe tee (which you can never go wrong with) along a basic blue jean, a cap all in similar colour tone and earrings with a pop of red to tie the look together but also think I wanted to make the boots the centre of attention.

So if you a bit skeptical like I was start matching your boots with the items above before you match with prints or more bold clothing. I'm very keen to experiment matching my boots with more prints and other fashion pieces although red boots are super statement enough already I think it can create a fun look.

On the verge of buying some red boots? Here are a few fashion items you can pair with your red boots to get you started:
  • All denim
  • White shirt/tee with jean
  • All Black
but... if you are not scared of clashing colours and prints with your red boots go ahead because I think it will anyway bring your whole look together along with your great style.

Did you like how I styled my Red Boots ? Let me know in the comment section below or comment on my social media posts or even tag me on twitter I would love to see.

Style Tips : Transition From Winter to Spring

I know some of you might find it difficult to put your spring wardrobe together after the winter season and because we not in full spring mode yet because the weather in Cape Town can be quite confusing.

Here are some pieces that I think will get you from Winter to Spring.

Light Jerseys
Because its not completely spring and the chill in the air can become cold, it is good to have about three jerseys that are versatile to mix in your wardrobe.

Pumps
As we slowly packing those boots away we slowly start bring out pumps as the days can get warmer. It's the perfect transitional piece because your feet is still semi covered.

Sandals
I'm going crazy seeing all the beautiful sandals in stores at the moment from simple ones to bold ones , it's always nice to have a new sandal to kick off the summer season.

Denim Jacket
I really did not make a mistake to get a denim jacket its become such a statement piece I'm wearing it all seasons #fact. I would say if you don't have one yet please girllll... do me a favour get yourself one and you will thank me (haha).

Stripe T-shirt/Sweater
I'm so happy that I stocked a few stripe sweaters now, for me stripes seem to add to the spring look and has made it rounds to the season over and over again, it is also a statement piece for the wardrobe which I think you can also wear all year round.

White Sneakers
Guys if you don't know me I cannot survive without white sneakers currently my All Stars are in a mess but luckly I have my Adidas to fill in which is btw very comfy , anyway if you not keen on wearing bold sneakers always opt for white because they are safe and go with anything.

Bold Jewelry
There are sooo much trending jewelry pieces at the moment , I would say play around with different styles and see what style suits you best. I'm loving tassels at the moment.

About this look:
My look below is very simple and what I prefer and a very basic #OOTD , it was quit chilly although it seems like the sun is out and about. I,m totally love my witchery jersey I also received as a gift its not a heavy weight jersey paired along with my denim jean and jacket and sunnies obviously , soo this is my basic transitional outfit.

I did a similar post last year on other pieces I mentioned to get you from winter to spring (Click here).
I hope you enjoyed this post and I helped you in a way because i know it can be tricky to change up your wardrobe , feel free to comment below and let me know if you also find it tricky to change your wardrobe from winter to spring.
