Review : Essence Beauty Products

Hi Beauties

On the blog today I talk some lipgloss, lipstick and eyeliner. About a few weeks ago TakeaLot had a hibernation sale and immediately I headed to the beauty section to see which Essence products were available(great bargains). I've been going essence crazy lately(expect more essence reviews), I think the products are amazing and super affordable and I love exposing such brands to my readers because it does not burn a hole in your wallet.

Everybody has been raving about Nude lipsticks, eye pallets ect ect so I thought lets try some nude products out, oh and to those who love the cat eye look there is such a fab eye-liner from ESSENCE that you must get.

My thoughts below...

Essence XXXL Long Lasting Lipgloss (06 Soft Nude):
I love the fact that its nude but in my opinion it did not quite fit my complexion and feel that it would go better with someone who has a lighter complexion to me.I also didn't like the MATT effect that it gave but maybe another shade would do.

Essence long lasting Lipstick (06 Dark Nude):
I'm not really a lipstick person but this one sold me over compared to the lipgloss because it made my lips look natural just the way I like it.

Essence 2-1 eyeliner pen:
In the pics below you will see the thick part of the pen looks almost like a highlighter tip 'flat based' which is more easier to apply which is great and the thin part of the pen is more 'koki like' also easy to apply.

Thanks for reading, let me know if you love nude make-up products and also let me know which other cool essence products are great, Although I'm not an expert in make-up I enjoy learning about it and experimenting trying to find myself to adapt to beauty products its fun.

Stay Fabulous

I've Got That Navy Feeling

Hello All

I hope you had a lovely long weekend and enjoyed every minute of it.
About a month ago I purchased a Bodycon striped dress by Mr Price ,when I got to the till I was even more happy that it was marked down 'yay me'. I love the fact that it is so fitting for the weather because Cape Town seems to be only really having winter now. I also think its a great dress all year round. I paired a navy tights also from Mr P under the dress because it was a bit chilly and my jacket from Mango which I'm finally wearing(have it almost a year and only wearing it now, you must be thinking whaaaat?, I know right #hoardermuch)  I went all navy in this particular look I guess I was in the mood for the colour Navy as always.

Tip: If you feel like dressing a bodycon dress up a pair of heels will look good with it or some funky boots and a leather jacket for a chilled look.

So what do you think of my look? How do you style your bodycon dress? let me know tweet me a pic, leave me a comment I want to know :) , oh before I forget to all you incredible women Happy Women's Month.

I see that MR P Online has the same dress still in stock but in the colour black (click here) and its priced to go (yesss bonus for you too). They also have some other funky bodycon dresses available go have a look on their site.

What I'm wearing:
Dress : Mr Price
Tights: Mr Price
Jacket: Mango
Ring: Gifted
Bag : China Town
Sunnies: Market
Sneakers: Nike

Review : SH'ZEN Recovery Shampoo and Intensive Recovery Mask

Hello Lovelies.
I hope you had a lovely weekend and ready to tackle the week ahead. Today is all about a product I've been using SH'ZEN Recovery Shampoo and Intensive Recovery hair mask which was given to me by my Ma to test out because I constantly complain to hear that my head is either itching or so. I must say I have those seasons where my dandruff is just bad or maybe its just my psoriasis acting up(seriously need to stress less lol). I agreed to try it out as I do not really have a set shampoo that I use.

What I think about the products:
  • Seems to give my hair a little more body than my regular shampoo (which is organics).
  • The fragrance is amazing.
  • Leaves a fresh sensation to your head when applied.
  • Hair seemed to be less tangled and the brush moved freely through my hair.(Due to the mask used before I shampoo'd)

I hope you enjoyed this review let me know what you think if you have tried it and if you should try it leave me a comment I would love to know if it works for you.

Happy Monday.

OOTD : My EID look

Hello, its been awhile since my last blog post, hope you are well?
Firstly to all my Muslim readers I hope you had a wonderful Ramadaan, for me it was sad because I lost my beloved grandma on the 1st of Ramadaan, but still a wonderful month of fasting.

In this post I share my EID outfit which my sister quickly snapped before heading out to greet family and friends.

Maroon/burgundy seemed to be the 'it' colour this winter season, I suppose it just gives an instant warmth to an outfit.
I did not have the energy to shop and scout for EID clothing, after going to the shops for my sisters and seeing how long the queues was I changed my mind on looking for myself, luckily I could run to our lil shop and put something together phew!

In the look below I'm wearing everything from our lil shop called "Practical Gifts"(which I might blog about in another post if you'd like #MomAndDaughterDuo) besides the shoes i purchased at HQ for only R99 before all their stores closed down and jegging which was gifted.

I hope you like my look , let me know what you think :)

ps- I know I'm delayed with this post but I hope you had a wonderful day with loved ones.
Happy Friday,Enjoy the weekend.

Autumn Basics

Hello,

Autumn here in South Africa seems to be very chilled I love the fact that the air is more cooled down and we get surprised by a warm(ohkay not that warm) day in between. Before Autumn leaves us by next week I just wanted to share one of my casual looks and favourite basics I rocked this season before we head to winter where more heavy layering will be needed when dressing.
I'm really a fan of comfort , I simply love my denims and shirts keeping it basic and simple. This is shirt I found at a woolies sale about the end of last year paired it up with my fav edgars jean jegging and booties I snatched from Mr P awhile back can't really remember. I added a bowler hat to make this look more quirky and a simple small sling perfect for a day out.

I think Bowler hats are a must it just makes a outfit cute.

Boots is one item I'll be wearing a lot of.

Tip: Boots and Hats is one way to dress a look and make it look funky so use this as a statement no matter how simple your outfit may look.

What accessories do you use as you 'wow' piece in an outfit??

What I'm wearing:
Shirt : Woolworths
Jean: Edgars Free2BU
Boots: MR P
Hat and Bag: Practical Gifts (Facebook)

Have a lovely Monday :)

Remember to follow my Facebook - The Fabulosity Diary page if you have not done that as yet. Thanks.

Trend : Pastels

Hello Beauties

Mmm its been awhile since I sat down behind the computer and actually wrote a post, I just don't seem to find enough time in a day urghh.

I hope you all well :)

Anyway I want to speak about a trend that seems to be very popular this Autumn/Winter,
PASTELS.

No need for autumn/winter to be dull and boring, although these shades were popular during spring/summer it seems to make a big statement this season , I'm not complaining I think its great, it gives that lightness during the sometimes gloomy weather.

Over the last months I've collected some lovely pastel colour garments and accessories I'm glad I did ,perfect timing I must say.

What do you think of wearing pastels in a/w?? thoughts leave it in a comment below. Show me your outfits tweet me @thefabdiary I would love to see how you styled your pastel garments or even tweet me your pastel finds whether its shoes , earrings even socks haha.

Till next time..

Stay Fabulous
