Review : Avene Thermal Spring Water

Hi Beauties,

Its been ages and this post has been sitting in my drafts so here it is, a product that I love that I really wanted to share!

OMG ! let me just say that I have been dying to try this product forever since it launched I've been itching to test it because I only read great things about this brand.

So I've been using this since October last year, clicks had a sale and I had to take the opportunity and purchase because it was worth it. I got the 300 ml and can you believe its only finished now after using it like crazy I'm surprised its lasted so long.

The cool thing about this product is that it can be used for soo many things like:
  • Irritated skin
  • Sunburn
  • After Shaving
  • Facial Redness
  • Make-up removal
  • Skin irritations
  • After Exercising and even diaper rashes
How great is that this one product is like an all rounder! right? I love it
Super glad I had it for the Summer season I was literally using it everyday to cool off especially my mom she can't get enough of the spray and I've also been using it for my eczema which helped a lot it gave relief for all the itchiness. Every visitor we had we recommended the product like we were getting commission haha that's how great it is!

Avene will definitely be a products I will invest in , I am very keen to try the other products (I do have the face wash review coming soon). When I do see promotions I will purchase especially the Thermal Spring Water I see this being a permanent product for my skin/body for years come.
I rate this product 5/5

Have you used the Thermal Spring Water Before ? Do you love it and does it work for you ? I would love to know please comment below. Also which Avene products do you think I should try next?

You will find the Thermal Spring Water at Clicks and Dischem and their online stores.

Have a lovely day and thanks for reading I really appreciate it.

Review : Sorbet Body Spritzers

Hi Beauties

I discovered something cool from Sorbet Ranges- the Body Spritzers. I don't know if it's new to Sorbet ranges but it immediately caught my attention and because the packaging looked super interesting and I never tried a body spritzer before.

Anyway... I picked up In Full Bloom and Ocean Mist spritzers and I must say I am totally impressed and think its perfect to use when coming out of the shower or bath giving you that extra freshness. I also think that this is an item that should be added to your beach bag because after that swim in the ocean or sitting whole day at the beach it can be applied or if you decide to grab a coffee with friends or get a spontaneous ice cream , just spritz a few and you good to goo ..

In Full Bloom (100ml) - is the perfect scent for spring and for all those ladies who wants to make a bold statement and is also great to welcome the new seasons with its vibrant floral scents. I love how rich and bold it smell once sprayed on the body.

Ocean Mist (100ml) - is the perfect scent for all those beach babes or for those who love the ocean. This scent screams hellloooo summer giving you an instant airy scent and everything sea-scented once applied to the body.

Why you should give the Sorbet Spritzers a try:
  • Super affordable
  • Can be used from AM - PM
  • Leaves you feeling fresh
  • Available in great scents
I'm yet to try the other Spritzers available I think there is about 5 different scents but think i made the perfect first choice super happy and will definitely be purchasing again #YAYforBudgetFriendly.

Available at Clicks or Clicks online stores at only R39.99

Have you used any Body Spritzers before , please let me know below. I have my eye on a recently launched one too from another brand soo keep posted for a review.

Review : African Extracts Rooibos Classic Care Range

Hey Lovlies

Ladies I think I've come across a skin range that I absolutely LOVE! The African Extract Rooibos Classic Care Range.

Although I'm always trying new products out especially skincare I think this particular range will be one of my all time faves that I will always go back to and will be on my shopping list if I'm not testing other skincare products. I have received African Extract products as gift from a family member before and loved the brand and I was very keen to try the facial products. I was super excited when I walked into DisChem and found a gift set range for only R109 score! (Be sure to look out for deals like these especially if you not sure about the product and want to try it out or want to score and save a couple of bucks)

Below is a little breakdown and thoughts on the classic range

Deep Cleansing Wash- R62.99
  • Great for all skin types and ages.
  • Great face wash to take your make up off.
  • I love the fact that it has vitamin B5.

Toner- R62.99
  • Alcohol Free
  • Leaves skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

Moisturizing Day Cream SPF 15 - R69.99
  • Has SPF 15
  • Vitamin E
  • I do think that it might be a bit to oily for some people
I've been using the range for a couple of months now and I can definitely say that I am impressed and after many compliments about how radiant my skin looks this range is definatly a steal!

Why give this product a try:
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Effective cleansing.
  • It's a good daily range to keep skin looking refreshed.
I've also recommended these products to my family members who have different skin problems such as rashes on their face and fine pimples and after using it, they loved the fact of how their skin improved using the products yay!

Summer Trends

Hi Lovelies.
Gosh..it feels good to be sitting behind the PC again just blogging because I have some free time , which is very rare these days because I'm constantly just caught up with day to day things, I hardly have time to sit and blog (sigh).

Anyway since I'm here I figured I compile a little What's Trending This Summer collage of what is in store at the moment and what I think is the HOT items for the summer season.

1. Earrings - H&M R149
These tassel earrings seem to be super popular lately , I've seen many bloggers and fashionistas rocking it. These earrings are a great statement to add to an outfit. I'm really contemplating on getting me a pair.

2. Sunglasses - Miss Maxi R229 (Can be purchased on Zando)
Im loving reflective lenses it updates your look instantly and gosh you guys know how much I love my sunglasses, I really need to start collecting them without one going missing or breaking before purchasing the next pair. You will find a range of colours available at most stores, girrl you gotta get you a pair you will not be sorry trust me.

3. Dress - Mr Price R159.99
The cold shoulder , bare shoulder trend is definatly the summer trend and this dress from Mr Price is soo cute I'm thinking of purchasing it myself. If you see yourself rocking this trend there are a variety of stores that you can spot bare shoulder tops/dresses.

4. Bag - Mr Price R159.99
Ok the bag may not be a trend but the colour Rose Gold and Mettallic feel is surely making a statement in fashion from jackets , sandals , jewls you name it, own anything in rose gold or mettallic you winning. I think this bag is actually cool for packing your belongings in for a day out.

5. Colourful necklaces and chokers
I'm really loving the jewellry this season soo many colours and funky designs and the brighter the better. Then... the choker trend which has been even bigger than before in my opinion and is not going anywhere soon , we did see it in winter but the trend is still going strong and think it will surely stick around for all seasons to come.

6. Shoes - Espadril R599
I NEED!!!! Ladies don't you think these shoes are amazing ? I really want to purchase every design from ESPADRIL each pair is hand made how awesome? I need to save ASAP I hope I own a pair soon. I see many stores stocking all kinds of espadrilles soo have a look around there are some affordable ones out there because the are super trendy this summer.

7. Shorts - Mr Price R159.99
Im really loving the lace detail that is being incorporated into clothing pieces lately I think it gives summer a fresh look. The boho trend seems to be dominating fashion lately I'm loving it.

There you have it my top trending pieces for the summer and where you can find them. What trends are you loving this summer?? :)

Review : Essence Soft Touch Mousse and Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer

Hey Beauties

I have a beauty post up , all about the Essence Soft Touch Mousse and Essence Camouflage Concealer. I'm always on the look out for some affordable cover ups because I'm one that don't usually wear foundations/mousses everyday but like a good cover up now and then.

Essence Soft Touch Mousse - 02 Matt Beige

I love the fact that the coverage of the mousse is good enough to last a couple of hours and for the price I think it's actually worth it . I took the shade 02 matt beige for myself as I'm fair in complexion. I'm already on my second tub soo... yup I'm happy with the product.
I would like to buy the darker shades to experiment with some contouring. (Retails for +/- R64)

Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer

I think this will probably be one of my favourite concealers because before applying the mousse I take a small brush and cover all my marks and under -eye area (cough cough you know them dark circles). I must say I do actually love a liquid concealer but this one does what it suppose to do and happy with the outcome once applied. (Retails for +/- R54.00)

If you a beginner at make-up like me or just looking for products to give you a basic look and looking for affordable cover up make up to experiment with then I say go ahead and purchase these from Essence and let me know what your thoughts are.

These products can be found at Clicks , DisChem and PnP stores

I hope you loved this review short and sweet and thanks for reading.

Pop Of Spring

Hey lovelies

Cape Town is slowly showing signs of warmer weather but Sunday was just lovely, it was all sunshine in the Mother City and the day could not be wasted at home. It was a well spent afternoon having late lunch with the family in Hout Bay catching up and enjoying the scenery.

I'm so excited for the upcoming season as we see lots of lighter colour clothing in stores that just scream spring/summer which is super exciting. I seriously need a shopping spree, I'm already eyeing so many items in store from quirky shoes to beautiful dresses.

Having trouble transitioning from winter to spring? Here are some must haves just to get you started:
  • White Jean
  • Versitile Sandle / Shoe or Sneaker
  • White Shirt
  • Maxi Dress
  • Sunglasses
then... obviously there are the trending items such as the off the shoulder tops , pajama like pants with the funky patterns which you can buy in between if its your style or if you have a little extra cash to splurge.

In my look below I'm wearing my super comfy white jegging , a white top and layered it with a super lightweight peach jersey paired with my new favourite tan sandle (did you notice? I'm not wearing sneakers lol) and a backpack to complete the look along with a bold statement to break the outfit a bit and duuhh cannot leave those sunnies behind. It was refreshing dressing in lighter colours and weird wearing sandles after a long long time...yay! bring on those summer days.

Hope you enjoyed this post , thanks for reading and Have a lovely Tuesday :)

What I'm Wearing
Jersey : Woolworths
Jegging : PNP Clothing

Review : Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hi Lovelies

I know this particular product have been on the market for some time now but I thought that I have to share as I finally got my hands on it after seeing the whole craze on social media. If you love make-up and looking for a good make -up cleanser you have to try the ' Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water'. I took the on the go size just to test it out and I must say I love it after using it a few times already.

As you know I'm not the one to really wear make-up but there are those days when I feel like being all done up or even the simple products I wear like eyeliner or just blush but nevertheless you know how it is after a full day of make up you just want a fresh face again this product does wonders. I took the 'Even For Sensitive Skin' and I love how it does not even leave a sting and is literally like water(without actually going to the tap lol).

Why you should give it a try:
  • Removes make-up gently(take one of those cotton pads and remove make-up).
  • Hydrates the face once applied.
  • No need to rinse
  • Great for those who have sensitive skin.

Product can be found at Clicks , PNP , Dischem. The 400ml retails for R79.95 and the 125ml(on the go size is about R30 odd if I recall correctly)

Have you tried the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water? What are your thoughts?

Review : Hoola Bronzer and Gimme Brow by Benefit Cosmetics

Hello Beauties and Happy Thursday.

Yay! almost weekend and I know most of you cannot wait till the weekend.

Today on the blog I will be discussing the 'Hoola' and 'Gimme Brow' by Benefit Cosmetics.
To be honest I haven't really heard of Benefit cosmetics until the big announcement of it re-launching in South Africa a couple of months ago , I think about May last year. Anyway going through my twitter seeing many other bloggers who seemed so familiar with the brand and excited of the products re-launching it must of been a big deal!

After going through reviews all I read was good things and I must say they are correct. I then discussed these super cool products with Mom(She loves make-up) and she seemed all hyped up when one of the assistants helped us at the brow bar at the benefit stand and then we also questioned about the Hoola bronzer as we saw how awesome it was after watching some favourite youtubers. Mom then purchased it and score for me I got to test out these babies.... I must say the products are not that budget friendly but worth the price.. sooo get saving gals. I really want to get some more products from the Benefit brand and working on saving up to get some foundations.

Hoola Bronzer:
I love the whole matte effect it gives on the cheeks once foundation is applied. My skin tone is fair but find that works good on my skin giving it a warm look. I think this will be great in winter. The Hoola bronzer will also be great for those who love their contouring.

Gimme Brow:
Oh gosh I really need to learn how to do my brows properly like literally, anyway I decided to kinda do a before and after with the gimme brow brow-volumizing fiber gel just to give you an idea. As you can see in the picture below you can see that it actually fills the gaps and makes it look fuller which I think is great (I haven't used any brow liner to define it and p.s don't judge my undone brows haha.)

p.s I will post a full look on my instagram of a full look ..hopefully I'm getting better at doing mak-eup as the days go by haha (I ain't no expert).

These products are available at Edgars stores.

Thanks for reading , have a lovely weekend ahead.

Varsity / College Shopping Guide

Happy Wednesday Beauties

If I'm correct most students are back at varsity/college this week. For those that are clueless on what to buy to get your 'back to varsity/college' wardrobe freshened up I put together a few items I found online to get you started. I've heard some students say that at some point they don't really care what they wear to campus as it becomes too much of an effort to dress up and you will probably end up in sweat pants and a tee nevertheless I hope you like some of the items picked out as you do get those days you feel to dress up a bit, the items below in my opinion are super casual , versatile and fashionable at the same time.

1. Stripe Muscle tank R59.99 - Mr Price
  • What I love about this top is that its stripe and it is a top that you can pair up with your jean / sweats / shorts and basically whatever you wish . In my opinion a stripe tee is always a must have.
2. Quilted Backpack R149.99 - Mr Price
  • Don't you love this super cute backpack? I love the funky quilted look with the gold detail which will spice up an outfit instantly.
3. Utility Shirt Dress R109.99 to R169.99 - Mr Price
  • These dress shirts are on trend at the moment and I think they will be big in autumn. I love the fact that you can pair it up with flats , sneakers or boots . What do you think?
4. Wide Dress R299 - H&M
  • Perfect for layering and great for warm days I think the wide dress is versatile and the print is pretty if you feel to break away from basics
5. Boyfriend Jean R179.99 - Mr Price
  • A comfortable jean is a must have especially if you going to be walking all day ect. ect. and this one from Mr Price is perfect . Guys can you believe that I have not found the perfect boyfriend jean as my waist is so tiny.
6. Bad Girl Watch R249 - Zando
  • I love how simple the design of the watch is , so to have a good watch on your arm will be a good fashion accessory to add to your outfit.
7. Soviet Viper High Sneaker R299 - Zando
  • Having a black pair of takkies is never a waste you can wear it everyday with everything and it will probably be your fav shoe to wear to campus because its that comfy.
I hope this shopping guide helped you in some way and gave you some idea of what to purchase. I really enjoy putting together boards of what is currently in store. If you enjoy these type of posts pop me an email , tweet me if you enjoy this and if you maybe want me to do 'work wear' one too.

Getting into 2016

Hey Lovelies

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm rather late hey but damn I'm feeling lazy from the festive season which has long past as things are definitely back to normal in the Mother City.

So I think I've taken January as an extended holiday trying to get myself back together and need to be focused once again as we head into 2016.

Here are a few things I would like to do in 2016:
  • Read some books (actual hard copies)
  • Take up a new hobby
  • Start doing some form of exercise even if I start out with walking.
  • Be more consistent with my blog(hopefully!)
besides those few points mentioned there are so many things I'm hoping to achieve but I will take it one day at a time.

I thought to get things swinging again I decided to shoot a look post to get myself back into the blogging mode just to keep me motivated.

In my look below I'm wearing these awesome lace up flats from Mr Price that I'm totally obsessed with paired with a retro printed skirt which was given to me along with a plain black basic tee and some gold accessories and my tassel bag also from Mr P that I love to bits.

Anyway I just want to wish everyone all the best with the year ahead and may 2016 only bring you nothing but joy.

Summer Wardrobe Shopping Guide

Hi lovelies

Summer has started and I'm sure everybody is in the holiday mood , I know I am. My mood currently is just to relax and be 100% lazy. In my post today I thought I could put together some pieces that I came across online for those that need help to get their summer wardrobe up and going. So here are a few items that I found that I liked and think its a must to have in your wardrobe this summer.

1. Straw hat R79.99 - Mr Price

  • Face protection is a must , we don't want to look all burnt at the beginning of summer do we? A big hat is a cool summer essential and perfect to complete a look.

2. Basic white tee R149 - H&M

  • My mood lately is shop basic , A white tee is a must have for summer you can never go wrong with having too much. It is great for chilled looks especially if you rocking your shorts or jean.

3. Shopper Bag R99.99 - Mr Price

  • I love the fact that these shopper bags are coming in lovely bright and vibrant designs. You can use this accessory as a way to jazz up a plain outfit and is also great to carry along if you hitting the beaches this summer.

4. Shift Dress R119.99 to R139.99 - Mr Price

  • What is your wardrobe without a funky printed dress. I think having a dress especially a shift dress because its so versatile you can dress it up and down. What do you think?

5. Kaftan R139.99 - Mr Price

  • Bring on the word effortless , yes a kaftan is really a good fashionable wardrobe must this summer. If you not one to go for prints Mr price have a cool plain one in stores. Add funky accessories to spice it up.

6. Mirror Avators R49.99 - Mr Price

  • Cannot go wrong with some avators or any sunnies, but a mirrored pair of sunnies is defz a go-to-accessory.

7. Sandals R499 - Poetry Stores

  • When browsing poetry online I loved these peach sandals so cute and simple. I am a huge sneaker person but I would really love this pair from poetry.
I really loved putting this summer guide together and I hope you did too, if soo then I will be putting monthly one of these together to show what items I think are cool to have or things I like from our stores.
