PEACE OUT 2020

Hi All

As 2020 comes to a close I'm sure that this year is definitely one for the books, a year we will never forget, a year of challenges and a year of adapting to a NEW way of life our NEW NORMAL and trying to make it work.

Secondly I would love to give my condolences to all that have lost loved ones due to this deadly Coronavirus(COVID-19) and all I can wish for you is that as the days go on I hope your hearts ease from the pain and may it only get easier as time goes on. To those who cannot even see their loved ones I hope you get to see them soon.

Applause to all those that  were strong enough to survive this year - starting new businesses, reaching your goals and managing to make ends meet successfully and a bigger applause to those who smiled through the challenges , those who hustled 10 times more and never gave up to survive and also to those who lost their jobs just know I am praying for you to find light at the end of the tunnel, it must be tough but I know you will get through this (I mean look you made it to the end of 2020) .

A year we all thought it was 'OUR YEAR' only to find out it was a year of the unexpected , the year a frikken virus took over the world , a year we we will truly never ever forget.

Personally I'm thankful for being surrounded by my loved ones and having my health at the moment and nothing else matters , no goals, career wise , business wise and just enjoying taking everyday as it comes and cherishing the moments of time spent together.

Please Remember to keep safe , sanitize and wear your mask !

And a huge shoutout to all those on the frontlines , risking your lives everyday may you all be blessed and sending all the strength your way. You are the hero's.

Peace out to 2020, we surely will remember you.

Comment below anything that 2020 taught you or what you thankful for.

Stay Fabulous

Trend : Culottes

Hi Lovely Beauties

Lately I've been living in my culotte pants and my collection is kinda growing, they just too comfortable and I think I'm obsessed all over again.... let me give you a little back story going back to my childhood I remember owning a denim pair that I wore all the time I mean ALL the time with my ridiculous pink sneakers and colourful type jerseys haha... but as I got older I grew out of wide style  - palazzo , pajama pants as some call it and thought its not such a cool vibe and switched over to the SKINNY LEG , come on I know you did too.

Anyway flash forward to 2018 the CULOTTE has become one of the most popular trends in my opinion seeing it at many fashion outlets and I must say I think it's here to stay throughout 2019 into our autumn/winter season back to spring/summer this year.

Here is a look I wore to a wedding on how I styled my pleated culottes let me know what you think?

I'm excited to style my culotte pants for the upcoming autumn/winter season . If you would like a post on how to style culottes or just a general lookpost to see how else I styled it , let me know.

Are you a fan of the culotte trend? let me know in the comments below :)

#OOTD - How I Styled my Paper Bag Pants

Hello Beauties !

Omg its been months , yes I am alive and I miss this little space of mine. I don't know why but I just could not get myself to sit by the computer and write something , one moment I'm feeling inspired one minute totally uninspired. Does this happen to you too?

Anyway ... I've come back with a OOTD for ya'll yay I know you like them. In today's post I will be showing you how I styled my paper-bag pants.

Firstly I love how comfortable these pants are, comfy and versatile which I think you can dress up and down. In the look below I dressed for a wedding so I styled it with a pair of block heels (yup comfort yo girl ain't got time for that stilettos) along with a cute light weight top from poetry which i tucked in my pants along with the straw woven bag which I found on the flea market for R40 can you believe it? I then put my hair in a top knot with some cool handmade beaded earrings.

No clue what to style your paper-bag pants with? Here are some tips
  • Give some edge with a leather jacket.
  • A white shirt , this will make you look chic as ever.
  • Plain white tee and heels (plain but simple outgoing look agree?)
  • Add funky accessories to your look.

Please show me how you styled you paper-bag pants . If you loved my look let me know via social media or comment below would love to hear your thoughts.

What I'm Wearing
Top : Poetry(old)
Pants : Foschini
Shoes : Shado
Bag : Market
Earrings : Gift
Sunglasses : Market

Review : Sorbet Sleep Rescue Range

Hello Beauties

Today on the blog I have some cool products by Sorbet that I received for my Birthday from my mom. I've been suffering from sleep for some time now and since using these products for about 4 months I can say is that it did help me through my restless nights.

My thoughts On the Sorbet Sleep Rescue Range

All the products below has a mix of aromatherapy oils to calm feelings of daily stress and make the the most of your body's overnight resting time.

Sleepy Bliss Pillow Spray:(R29,95)
This one is my favourite because just a few sprays one whiff leaving me feeling relaxed and ready for my good nights rest.

Drift Away Body Wash: (R43,95)
I love the aromatherapy when applying the body wash to the skin which gives you instant relaxation leaving you feel fresh after a lovely shower and what I love is that the gel is purple in colour.

Easy Does It Hand and Nail Cream: (R37,95)
So this is the one I keep in my bag daily,  whenever I'm feeling a bit anxious I would apply it to relax me in some way.

I really love the range and do think I will purchase it again because all the products above seem to calm me in my opinion and it's affordable. I don't know if it will work for all but it worth a try if you have some tension , feeling stressed or suffer from anxiety. Let me know what you think would love to hear your feedback.

Products can be purchased at clicks stores or clicks online.

Review : Essence Soft Touch Mousse and Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer

Hey Beauties

I have a beauty post up , all about the Essence Soft Touch Mousse and Essence Camouflage Concealer. I'm always on the look out for some affordable cover ups because I'm one that don't usually wear foundations/mousses everyday but like a good cover up now and then.

Essence Soft Touch Mousse - 02 Matt Beige

I love the fact that the coverage of the mousse is good enough to last a couple of hours and for the price I think it's actually worth it . I took the shade 02 matt beige for myself as I'm fair in complexion. I'm already on my second tub soo... yup I'm happy with the product.
I would like to buy the darker shades to experiment with some contouring. (Retails for +/- R64)

Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer

I think this will probably be one of my favourite concealers because before applying the mousse I take a small brush and cover all my marks and under -eye area (cough cough you know them dark circles). I must say I do actually love a liquid concealer but this one does what it suppose to do and happy with the outcome once applied. (Retails for +/- R54.00)

If you a beginner at make-up like me or just looking for products to give you a basic look and looking for affordable cover up make up to experiment with then I say go ahead and purchase these from Essence and let me know what your thoughts are.

These products can be found at Clicks , DisChem and PnP stores

I hope you loved this review short and sweet and thanks for reading.

Review : MAC Haute and Naughty Lash Double Effect Mascara

Hello Again Fab Readers

So I've been asked why I'm I not blogging anymore ?? well things have just been hectic and don't worry I'm trying to get into a routine again hope you understand :)

As You all know I'm not that familiar with make-up but it does fascinate me to learn about new and different products and then trying it out if it grabs my attention.

I'm 'Plain Jane' when it comes to applying make-up to my face by just applying the basics such as:
  • BB cream
  • Blush
  • Eye pencil
  • And sometimes foundation
My Beauty Item Favorite this month is...
I'm currently using is the MAC Haute and Naughty Lash Double effect Mascara that I recently added to my make-up routine. I instantly loved the packaging and the "double effect" term also caught my attention so I figured why not try it out.
What I love about this product is that it gives you not one but two options
1. Giving your lashes a more natural relaxed look with minimal effort.
2. Giving your lashes a more full look.

When removing the pink top first we see the excess of the mascara being left behind...

In this pic we see that there is not much mascara on the brush therefore lashes will look more effortless.

In this pic the purple top has been opened and more mascara is on the brush therefore lashes will have a fuller look.

Results:

Using the pink top = effortless lashes

Purple top = Fuller lashes
(Thanks to my little cuzzie for letting me use her lashes lol)

I've used mascara's but rarely, but I think adding mascara to my routine from now on definitely because I've noticed it makes a better appearance through my specs(as I have to wear them everyday).

I rate this product 4/5 only because it does get messy a bit compared to a waterproof mascara(by Yardly)I used as this one did not smudge against my lenses of my specs but otherwise its perfect for everyday use.

So what's your favorite mascara ? let me know I would love to try them out.

Thanks for reading.

Lazy Sunday

Hello Fab Readers

Hope you are all doing fine  ... oh before I forget to all my readers who celebrated Eid last week I hope you had a wonderful day with your loved ones and hope you all enjoyed the beautiful holy month of Ramadaan.

I've decided to do a short post since I do have free time on my hands (so happy to at least be posting something again lol )... So the other day a friend asked me where are the blog posts ?? Well to be honest time never seems to be on my side and I never get that time to chill by the pc and get my posts together(never knew it would be this hard to be constant, I always thought I'd manage to post regularly). Yes, what a poor excuse you must be thinking but I am trying my best to juggle my time and make effort to blog more. Maybe I should label myself as the occasional blogger for now because I don't like apologizing for my absence all the time #CantWatchFace...So don't worry if I'm MIA for a while I don't forget about you readers and always thinking of putting great posts together for you guys to read.

Anyhoo its Sunday the day is almost over and all I did for the day was chill as in "THE PERFECT LAZY SUNDAY" .

Here is what I've been up to today:
  • chilling in my pjs
  • listening to my favourite songs
  • catching up on my series
  • drinking loads of hot chocolate and munchies
What is your favourite thing to do on a lazy day/Sunday/weekend ???

Have a lovely week ahead :)
