Review : Yardley Oatmeal Exfoliating Scrub

Hey Beauties

I'm totally a lover of testing exfoliators I might be obsessed hehe... if you have been reading my blog for a while I'm sure you came across my reviews on other exfoliators. The exfoliator I'm currently using is from the Yardley Oatmeal range and I must say I'm impressed.

Why you should give it a try:
  • face seems more refreshed once exfoliator was used.
  • soap free.
  • takes away impurities.
  • scars seem to fade after a few uses.
I must say that the grains of the exfoliator is much more grainy than my other exfoliators but no sign of sensitivity which is great. I also forced my siblings to use the scrub and they've been using it ever since and the results was amazing as their skin had more scaring than mine and I could see a difference too once they used it.

oh..and just to let you know when I used the scrub I did not purchase the toner and moisturizer from the range(as I'm finishing off my other products which I'm using along with the scrub) to use along with it but nevertheless I'm still happy with the results and I'm going to try and purchase the rest of the products.

You can find the scrub at Clicks, Edgars, PNP and selected pharmacies and only retails for R79.95

Hope you enjoyed this post, my current facial/skin products in a post soon, till next time ...

Stay Fabulous

Review : Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hi Lovelies

I know this particular product have been on the market for some time now but I thought that I have to share as I finally got my hands on it after seeing the whole craze on social media. If you love make-up and looking for a good make -up cleanser you have to try the ' Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water'. I took the on the go size just to test it out and I must say I love it after using it a few times already.

As you know I'm not the one to really wear make-up but there are those days when I feel like being all done up or even the simple products I wear like eyeliner or just blush but nevertheless you know how it is after a full day of make up you just want a fresh face again this product does wonders. I took the 'Even For Sensitive Skin' and I love how it does not even leave a sting and is literally like water(without actually going to the tap lol).

Why you should give it a try:
  • Removes make-up gently(take one of those cotton pads and remove make-up).
  • Hydrates the face once applied.
  • No need to rinse
  • Great for those who have sensitive skin.

Product can be found at Clicks , PNP , Dischem. The 400ml retails for R79.95 and the 125ml(on the go size is about R30 odd if I recall correctly)

Have you tried the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water? What are your thoughts?

Day Dreamer

Hi Everyybodddy !

Its been ages damn , I've missed this. I hope you all well? If you wondering where I've been since the last time I blogged (which was in April last) I was just very much occupied from helping mom with our little shop doing some re-decor, stocking up stock , pricing ect ,eish sometimes two people is not enough to get everything done so everyday is like work work work work but I'm not complaining its fun to work with your mom and owning a business.
For you that don't know what I do .. I basically take the pics for our business page/social media accounts (you can follow us on instagram/facebook @practicalgifts) and do a little admin here and there and the best part is sourcing items with mom(especially if its bags , scarves clothing ect you can imagine how overboard we can go lol).

Secondly how quick did the month of Ramadaan go by, I can't believe it? I hope you had a wonderful month and a wonderful EID.  We've also been a little busy the last week before EID with those looking for last minute accessories , scarves and so on , sooo the past few days was a good few days of rest after the rush, and yay I think I'm finally recovered from a terrible cold I had.

Thirdly , to be honest I've been feeling very uninspired lately like literally pfft, having thoughts like should I stop blogging , I have no content , not good enough?, blog not looking so great, no time? you know how it goes or maybe its just writers block.
I've been asked by my handful of loyal followers "eeey like you not blogging no more?" and I'm like .... and I thought to myself oh no I gotta FOCUS FOCUS because I love blogging and think it will be weird just not doing it no more. Although I'm not fulfilling my goals of posting 3 times a week at least I'm going to try and do my best till I can reach that stage I hope to(yes I did mention this in a post before). All I have to do now is to be a positive DAY DREAMER hey?

About this look:
I love the idea of layering in winter do you? One of my favourite clothing item is a denim shirt I find that I'm wearing a lot in winter pairing it with my knits , in this case I put this funky top from the fix on as its super warm. I also find that I've been wearing my black denims a lot as it goes with everything and bam a pair of comfy boots to finish the look along with a turban #ComfortIsTheWay

Happy Monday have a fantastic week, till next time.

Stay Fabulous

Review : UBU Blender Baby Foundation Sponge

Hello my beauty babes, I hope your long weekend was good.

I'm sure all of you heard about the famous 'Beauty Blender' used to apply foundations, creams ect, but for those of us that cannot really afford it, I came across the UBU Blender Baby Foundation Sponge at Clicks Stores for only R99 or R130 if I'm not mistaken.

I cannot really compare this to the beauty blender because I have not used the beauty blender before but I do suppose it is similar , I did notice the shape is slightly different though but that should not matter.

Anyway, I find this beauty sponge doing its job well as the point of the sponge reaches perfect to the corners of the eyes and around the nose area. The bottom of the sponge is used for the larger parts of the face.
I also love the fact that you can wash it with some soap and there you goo all cleaned up ready to use again. I will definitely recommend you ladies to purchase it's a real bargain and applying foundation could never be easier.

Have you used the Blender Baby? let me know your thoughts below.

Have a fantastic day further.

Stay Fabulous

Review : Hoola Bronzer and Gimme Brow by Benefit Cosmetics

Hello Beauties and Happy Thursday.

Yay! almost weekend and I know most of you cannot wait till the weekend.

Today on the blog I will be discussing the 'Hoola' and 'Gimme Brow' by Benefit Cosmetics.
To be honest I haven't really heard of Benefit cosmetics until the big announcement of it re-launching in South Africa a couple of months ago , I think about May last year. Anyway going through my twitter seeing many other bloggers who seemed so familiar with the brand and excited of the products re-launching it must of been a big deal!

After going through reviews all I read was good things and I must say they are correct. I then discussed these super cool products with Mom(She loves make-up) and she seemed all hyped up when one of the assistants helped us at the brow bar at the benefit stand and then we also questioned about the Hoola bronzer as we saw how awesome it was after watching some favourite youtubers. Mom then purchased it and score for me I got to test out these babies.... I must say the products are not that budget friendly but worth the price.. sooo get saving gals. I really want to get some more products from the Benefit brand and working on saving up to get some foundations.

Hoola Bronzer:
I love the whole matte effect it gives on the cheeks once foundation is applied. My skin tone is fair but find that works good on my skin giving it a warm look. I think this will be great in winter. The Hoola bronzer will also be great for those who love their contouring.

Gimme Brow:
Oh gosh I really need to learn how to do my brows properly like literally, anyway I decided to kinda do a before and after with the gimme brow brow-volumizing fiber gel just to give you an idea. As you can see in the picture below you can see that it actually fills the gaps and makes it look fuller which I think is great (I haven't used any brow liner to define it and p.s don't judge my undone brows haha.)

p.s I will post a full look on my instagram of a full look ..hopefully I'm getting better at doing mak-eup as the days go by haha (I ain't no expert).

These products are available at Edgars stores.

Thanks for reading , have a lovely weekend ahead.
